About
Systems don't fail everywhere at once.
They fail along fault lines.
Pundits reason about complex systems from the outside: a narrative, an analogy, a gut call delivered with confidence. But coalitions, companies, and markets are not narratives. They are systems of actors, each with its own incentives, relationships, and history, and they are only legible from the inside, actor by actor.
That is what Faultline builds. Every actor that matters becomes a behavioral agent. Every shock becomes a perturbation you can inject and re-inject. Every outcome comes with the chain of reactions that produced it. Simulation replaces narrative with mechanism.
We built Faultline because the question "what happens next" deserves a better answer than a confident guess.
Our mission
See the cascade before it breaks.
A note from the founder
Faultline started as a single question: could a system of agents, each behaving the way its real-world counterpart actually behaves, tell us something punditry could not? It could. What it told us was where the system would crack, and that was worth building a company around.
